This Privacy Statement represents the online privacy policy applicable to SKUDAL.EU.

PETTER SKUDAL, General Fleischers vei 28 a, 1359 Eiksmarka, Norway, is the controller of the personal data processed when you use the SKUDAL.EU website and may be contacted if you have any questions relating to this Privacy Statement.

PETTER SKUDAL is a private person sharing free knowledge about sport fishing on the internet. I have personal accounts on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

PETTER SKUDAL wants to demonstrate compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”).

1 HOW AND WHY I USE PERSONAL DATA

1.1 WHEN YOU VISIT THE SKUDAL.EU WEBSITE

SKUDAL.EU is the general website for PETTER SKUDAL. When you visit the website, I collect data through cookies as described in section 4 below. The data I collect through cookies consists of data relating to your device, IP-address and your use of the website. I use the data collected through cookies for the purposes of offering you the best user experience and for improving the website content by tracking usage patterns and recording preferences. See further information in section 4 below on how to accept and reject cookies by adjusting the settings in your browser.  

1.2 WHEN YOU CONTACT ME

When you contact me, for example for website feedback, I can collect personal data about you. The personal data can concern your name, e-mail address and other information you wish to provide me with to respond to your comment or enquiry.

The legal basis for this processing is that the processing is necessary to improve my website content and this interest is not overridden by your rights to data protection.

1.3 COMPLIANCE WITH LEGAL OBLIGATIONS AND INFORMATION RELATING TO LEGAL PROCEEDINGS

PETTER SKUDAL may process personal data necessary to comply with legal obligations, for example tax and accounting information and information relating to legal proceedings. The purpose and legal basis for this processing is PETTER SKUDAL’s legal obligations and PETTER SKUDAL’s legitimate interests in the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

2 SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA

I do not share your personal data with third parties except where such sharing is necessary to provide optimal website user experience. I use external third-party service providers for example for website hosting (One.com), WordPress (WordPress.com), Website theme by Metric Themes (Metricthemes.com), Visitor flag counter (Flagcounter.com) and for performing statistical analysis of my website (One.com and Google Analytics). For my own cookie control I use (Cookiescript.com) and (Cookiebot.com). I will only share your personal data with the service providers to the extent it is necessary for them to deliver the website services.

In the event that I sell or buy any business or asset, I may disclose your personal data to such prospective buyers or sellers. Moreover, PETTER SKUDAL may share your personal data with public authorities or governments if required by mandatory law.

3 TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL DATA

PETTER SKUDAL will not transfer personal data to a third country outside of the EEA that does not provide adequate protection of personal data unless appropriate safeguards are adduced or the transfer otherwise takes place in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. Although I try only to link to websites that share my high standards for privacy, I am not in any way responsible for the content or the privacy practices employed by third party websites or third party services. 7 YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT

You have a right to information about PETTER SKUDAL’s processing of personal data concerning you and to receive a copy of the personal data being processed. 8 COMPLAINTS TO PETTER SKUDAL

You will receive the result of the complaint handling within four (4) weeks after I receive the complaint. If, due to the complexity of the complaint, a response cannot be given within the four (4) weeks period, you will be informed accordingly and provided with an estimate for the timescale within which a response will be provided.

In case a complaint is rejected, you will receive the reasons for the rejection. If you are not satisfied with the response to the complaint, you can choose to lodge claims based on the what is written here, see section 9 below.

9 COMPLAINTS TO DATA PROTECTION AUTHORITIES OR COURTS

I encourage you to first follow the complaints procedure in section 8 above before filing any complaint or claim with competent data protection authorities or the courts.

In case of violation of the GDPR on my website, you may, at your choice, submit a complaint or a claim to the data protection authority or the courts:

a) in the EEA country at the origin of the personal data transfer, against PETTER SKUDAL in such country of origin responsible for the relevant transfer;

b) in Norway, against PETTER SKUDAL; or

c) in the EEA country where the you or have your place of work, against the PETTER SKUDAL being the Controller of the relevant personal data.

The data protection authorities and courts shall apply their own substantive and procedural laws to the dispute. Any choice made by you will not prejudice the substantive or procedural rights you may have under applicable law.

The SKUDAL.EU website is governed in accordance with Norwegian legislation, and the Oslo District Court shall be the legal venue with exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from your use of this website.
